I have been in the high school history classroom for the past five years in a variety of levels (honors, general education, and AP). I have been teaching AP History, particularly AP World and AP Euro for the past three years. My undergraduate degrees are in both History and Secondary Education and I also hold a Master's degree in Social Studies Education. Although, I only have a few years of AP under my belt, I have had a 100% pass rate in two out of three years. I have offered many tutoring and extra help opportunities to my students over the past few years. Additionally, I am an AP World Reader (mostly have been assigned SAQs and LEQs), so I have real life experience in what the readers are looking for at the grade.

Tutoring allows for the teacher to tailor to a student's very specific need in a way that may not be possible at all times in the actual classroom. When helping students one-on-one, I always come to the table with a very individualized approach and try to narrow down the student's goals. Oftentimes, students have a variety of concerns and want help with specificities in multiple choice strategies, key points/ content summaries, periodization, DBQ/LEQ structure, etc. I am very prepared to assist any student with all of the above.
