"Hi there! Physics is scary for a lot of people, but it doesn't have to be. If we take the time to master concepts, expose misconceptions, and refine our understanding, then journeying through the physics world can be a very rewarding experience. I've taught AP Physics and high school physics for the past 5 years. I can tutor those subjects as well as introductory college physics classes and high school math.

I have a Texas Standard Certificate (Science 7-12) and I've led students to score the highest passing rate for AP exam at the school in the last decade. I've tutored my students during class and after school multiple days a week ever since I started teaching. Working one on one really helps clear up any misconceptions and for quality feedback. My tutoring philosophy focuses on listening well to my students and patiently working towards mastery of a concept. I've been highly influenced by Sal Khan's emphasis on mastery learning. This mindset focuses on doing whatever it takes to master a concept, rather than just trying to "get it" the first time and hoping it works. In physics, we often have to work with various representations (graphs, diagrams, equations, etc.) of a situation to understand what is going on and apply that understanding in new contexts.
