"My name is Andrew and I currently work at an engineering firm where I lead projects developing cutting edge photonics technology. I keep tutoring because I appreciate the impact enthusiastic educators have had on me. I fell in love with physics and mathematics when I was a young undergraduate studying to be a musician. I was enrolled in a general education physics course and one day the professor said something that made the beauty of the mathematics of physics suddenly click in my head. I switched majors and never looked back!
During my undergraduate and graduate education I came to understand how amazing it was when a professor was able to explain a complicated subject simply and elegantly. I tutored in my spare time and tried to mimic that approach with my students whose ages ranged from 15 to over 30. Having the opportunity to explain the same topic to people with various skill sets and life experience not only helped me to teach better, but gave me a deeper understanding of the topics I was teaching.
I look forward to working with you! Please feel free to reach out to me to schedule a lesson." less...
