"I’m a biodiversity and ecosystem adaptation educator with over 30 years of experience teaching students from middle schoolers exploring science for the first time to graduate students, professionals, and educators advancing their expertise.

My teaching and course design center on the intersection of marine biology, oceanography, and engineering, often using emerging technology platforms and experiential learning to bring science to life. I specialize in developing hands-on, real-world curricula in sustainability, climate resilience, community science, and ocean research.

In addition to environmental science, I offer academic support in social psychology, underwater science (physics & physiology), and project-based learning. I also provide college and career guidance for students interested in environmental action, sustainability careers, and ESG pathways. I hold credentials in Sustainability Disclosure (ISSB FSA Level 1) and Enterprise Resilience from The George Washington University. My educational focus at UCSC (Undergraduate) was field marine biology and education, and at SF State University (Grad Program) was predicting student success in higher learning.

I teach art and horticulture through bonsai, a living art form where I bring together creativity, patience, and environmental care. Whether you're looking to dive into marine science, prepare for college, explore a STEM career, or learn a new art form, I tailor each tutoring experience to meet your goals and spark your curiosity.
