"As a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Wingate University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology and Education, I possess a strong academic foundation in biology and a solid understanding of teaching principles, complemented by a passion for helping students grow. I am CRLA Level 3 Certified with over 200 hours of tutoring experience, having worked as a peer tutor at my university for four years. During that time, I supported students through a wide range of rigorous college-level science courses, including General Chemistry I and II, Organic Chemistry I and II, Principles of Cellular & Molecular Biology, Genetics, and Principles of Organismal Biology and Evolution. I’ve also had the opportunity to apply my teaching skills in high school classrooms through student teaching placements in honors and AP biology courses.

In addition to tutoring, I have spent three years serving as a Tutor Training and Observation Specialist, helping to guide instructional practices and promote effective learning strategies in Wingate’s Academic Resource Center. Through these experiences, I have learned to be highly malleable to the needs of my students, adjusting my approach to align with their learning styles, prior knowledge, and goals.
