"I hold a professional degree in Architecture and have more than twenty-five years of experience teaching in the field of architecture. Fifteen years in interior design fundamentals, and visual communication. Over the years I have worked with students from a wide range of programs, from first-year architecture majors to graduate-level studio students, and I understand the specific challenges they face during critiques, project development, and finals. My teaching is grounded in clarity, structure, and helping students understand the “why” behind design decisions, not just the “how.”

I have spent much of my career providing one-on-one tutoring, studio guidance, portfolio development support, and concept coaching. My approach is to break down complex design principles into practical steps, whether we are discussing spatial organization, form development, narrative, precedent analysis, or presentation strategy. I focus on strengthening a student’s ability to think critically and confidently articulate their ideas during reviews. Many of my students have gone on to produce stronger studio projects, improve their portfolios, and feel significantly more prepared for critiques.

Because of my long experience working individually with students, I am able to quickly understand their goals and tailor my instruction to their current level—whether they need conceptual guidance, help structuring a project, or feedback before a final presentation.
