"Hi, I'm Andy! I graduated from Montgomery Blair High School's Science, Mathematics, and Computer Science Magnet program. I am currently a sophomore at Cornell University's College of Engineering, majoring in Biomedical Engineering as a Pre-med. I have won numerous chemistry-related awards from competitions such as the United States National Chemistry Olympiad, Science Olympiad, HOSA - Future Health Professionals, Chemistry Olympiads Discord Server online competitions, and Quizbowl. Thus, I most enjoy teaching chemistry.

For the past 4 years, I've worked with tutoring all ages(from 4 years to 17 years) and group sizes(private to large broadcasts). I've worked privately to help with homework and class content but also under larger companies like Fiveable, delivering livestreams to help students prepare for the AP World History Exam. Although I am most passionate about teaching chemistry, I am comfortable teaching just about any subject, as I have experience with math, science, history, English, and computer science.

Typically when I tutor, I will start off with a brief overview of the topic before diving into the contents in-depth. I enjoy keeping my students engaged, so I will try to teach in the form of a story/narrative as much as possible so that each individual fact and detail is retained. I also enjoy using well-designed problem sets that emphasize applying the content we learn, rather than just being busy work.
