"Hi, I'm Valerie! I'm a freshman in college, working towards a BA in mechanical engineering. Over the years, I've realized that one of the most important traits to have in life is to not being afraid to reach out for help: it's this mindset that helped me get through high school and into college. I wouldn't be here without all the support I've received throughout my academic journey. Now, my job is to be that support for you, or your student! My goals are not only to educate, but to also help students identify how they learn best to form strong study habits based on their learning style.

I have had two years of formal tutoring experience where I tutored pre-calculus, AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC to my high school peers. My sessions were one-on-one, and students would come with specific problems that I would guide them through. Currently, I'm trying to broaden my range and depth of tutoring: I'm open to teaching any level of math up to AP Calculus BC, as well as Regents Physics and AP Physics C: Mechanics. I'm also open to giving explanatory lessons on any topics within the subjects mentioned!
