I’m Augustine, an author and educator from Saginaw, MI. I hold an MFA in Creative Writing and have taught that subject, as well as literature, composition, and speech, at the high school and college level. I have over two decades of teaching experience, so If you want to learn how to write great fiction or personal essays, I can help you.

Moreover, as a published author, I bring hands-on experience to my writing instruction. I know from experience what it takes to improve one’s prose, and how persevering in the writing process leads to success.

My short stories have appeared in print magazines such as the Beloit Fiction Journal, the Arizona Mandala, Bananafish, the South Carolina Review, the Long Story, the Bridge, Progenitor, the Rockford Review, and the Northern Reader—and online in the Valparaiso Fiction Review, the Blue Lake Review, and the Barcelona Review. I’ve placed essays online in America Magazine, OnePeterFive, and the National Catholic Register.
