In my tenure as an educator, I was recognized locally and nationally for my devotion and ability to guide students to success. As a National Board Certified Teacher, I maintain best practices for students both inside and outside the classroom. My experience enables me to meet students where they are and guide them to where they want or need to be. I use positive reinforcement for motivation, but I am clear on areas the student needs to work on. My professionalism is imperative to me.

As a first-generation college graduate from a working-class family, I understand the importance of organization skills, taking responsibility for one's own education, and developing a work ethic that, when instilled, benefits that person in all aspects of their life. I am friendly, approachable, and offer praise whenever I can, but I do not believe in wasting anyone's time and hard-earned money.

I have successfully taught Advanced Placement (AP) level classes as well as those below grade level. With a Master's degree in creative writing, I am passionate about teaching students how to become better writers and thus communicators.
