"Professor R. began teaching the law when he was still a second-year law student at Cumberland School of Law. During that time he also served as a member, then an editor, of the Cumberland Law Review, and ultimately graduated near the top of his class.

A practicing attorney for over 28 years, Professor R. spent 16 years as both a staff attorney for a federal judge, and over 20 years a professor of law at Birmingham School of Law. In addition to Civil Procedure, he teaches Conflicts of Laws and created the course curriculum for the Birmingham School of Law's legal research and writing program.
