"Hi there, I am Caitlin! I am a career educator- having taught middle school math to underserved students in Washington, DC for most of my career. While there, I won awards for teaching and work both in and out of the classroom. I also led my classes to be the highest-performing classes in our district over multiple years. After seven years of teaching, I transitioned to administration and co-founded a middle school as a vice principal. Three years later, I took over the school as principal and led the school to even more academic growth and success. I also worked hard to create a strong community within the school by creating innovative partnerships with community organizations, including a CrossFit club just for eighth-grade boys. After many years in DC, I moved to the PNW to be closer to family. Now residing in the Portland, OR area, I have continued working remotely for the school district, researching, designing, and opening a virtual school for interested families. I continue that work today!

While teaching, I have tutored students and other families. I form relationships with students easily and have often been successful with students who have struggled with success and confidence in the past.
