"Hi, I’m Michael. I’m an award-winning professional writer, creative director, and educator with a deep, abiding passion to help others master this craft that I love. I’ve been a professor for over a decade, teaching courses at the postgraduate level as well as private one-on-one classes for students from 7th grade through college.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English with honors from Bard College and a Master’s degree in Journalism from Boston University. I’ve helped students learn how to write compelling and persuasive essays, personal statements for college applications, research papers, term papers, reading comprehension, literature analysis and criticism, short stories, and screenplays. My classes include writing exercises, topic exploration, outlines, organization, grammar and vocabulary building through proofreading, rewrites and final drafts.
