"Hello there! My name is Francesca! I am a graduate of the prestigious NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where I made Dean's List twice, and I am currently attending City College for my Masters in Art Education. I have experience teaching as a full-time English teacher and substitute teacher, as well as serving as a summer camp counselor for elementary and middle school art classes.

My specialties are in English and in the arts. Regarding English, I have experience as an English teacher, have been educated in linguistics, and have won numerous awards for my writing. This includes at the prestigious LA Under the Stars Film Festival and Big Apple Film Festival. I also speak conversational Spanish and some Korean, so I am open to the challenge of tutoring students in English as a second language. Regarding the arts, while my training is in film, I have taught drawing as a summer camp counselor and worked in web and graphic design. My educational background, combined with real-world industry experience, allows me to help students see the value of what they are learning beyond grades alone.

I firmly believe in not just drilling students on subjects, but fostering their love of subjects. I will connect the subject in question to a student's personal interests or broader academic goals in order to build excitement about learning. I also make a point to be patient with students when they are struggling and address their specific concerns, so that they may gain mastery at their pace.
