My first passion was art and my bachelors degree from KSU is in Art History with a focus on Architecture. Now I am a data analyst with Fortune 500 companies and I tutor because passion for knowledge. I try to bring the unique perspective of an artistic background to the discipline of Mathematics. For the student, this means that I can illustrate mathematical concepts in ways that often go further than what they might typically encounter in classes. When I am working with students, I prioritize their feedback to ensure that they understand the material and if not, then I can identify their knowledge gaps so we can focus lessons on that. I recognize that each student has their own needs and strengths.
After college, I was a substitute teacher in the Cleveland Municipal School District for four years. While there I worked with students from middle school to seniors in high-school. When working in classrooms or one on one, I was able to find a way to reach the students who were having trouble by tailoring my instructions.
For the past ten years, I have been working as a technical consultant and data analyst for Fortune 500 companies. As a data analyst, I have continued my education to higher mathematics and am engaged in MIT online courses on Real Analysis. For the past two years I have tutored college level students on statistics, differential calculus and integral calculus." less...
