"Hi! My name is Connor. I'm a graduate of the University of Tennessee, where I earned a bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a second major in Mathematics. Not only have I worked as a software engineer at a national laboratory, but I have also been tutoring since 2013. I think math and computer science are beautiful subjects, and sharing that beauty with others is my passion. The journey to understanding math is challenging but also rewarding, and I think that everyone has the ability to embark on that journey.

My teaching philosophy is basics-first because foundational knowledge is essential for understanding the more complex ideas. Have you ever been sitting in class and thought "I'm paying attention, but nothing is making sense"? I've been there, too, and most often it's because I was missing a key piece of knowledge that would have made everything click. In our sessions, we demystify those key ideas so that you can understand what's on the whiteboard and get the most out of class.

I take education very seriously and love helping students succeed. Starting in high school, I taught music to small groups of students at band camps. Through most of college, I tutored high-school and college students in algebra, geometry, and calculus. After I graduated, I analyzed every question of more than 10 ACT Math sections and wrote a comprehensive guide to ACT Algebra. Not only have I worked with students individually, but I have also taught precalculus in a classroom setting. Today, I specialize in test prep, math, and in computer science topics like introductory programming, data structures and algorithms, assembly language, and systems programming.
