"Hi! My name is Abby, and I graduated from Baylor University in May 2025 with majors in Economics and Management and a secondary major in Mathematics. I was part of the Business Fellows program, a rigorous honors program which makes up 5% of Baylor business students. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA and I was the Highest Ranking Woman in my graduating class in the business school. I also earned a 790/800 on the math portion of the SAT and an 800/800 on the SAT Math Level 2 subject test.

I have experience tutoring students in Geometry, Algebra, and Pre-Algebra. I have always enjoyed math and I have been informally helping my peers with math since middle school. I believe that so many students struggle through foundational math classes like Pre-Algebra and Algebra without truly understanding the content, and it is my goal to ensure that students succeed in these courses so that they can excel in more advanced classes later on.

I spent all three summers of college working with students age 7-15 at summer camp, so I have extensive experience mentoring and caring for students of all ages. I understand the importance of patience when working with students and I will meet them wherever they are in their understanding of the subject.

My students will not only learn how to solve math problems, but also why they are solving it a certain way. Often students are tempted to memorize a specific process without understanding what they are actually doing. Understanding the reasoning behind the process is essential so they can apply their knowledge in future classes." less...
