"Hello! My name is Sam, and I have been a teacher in Baltimore City for 4 years. I graduated from Gettysburg College in 2020 with a B.A in History and Minor Studies in Physics and Political Science. At Gettysburg I was also captain of the Cross-Country and Track and Field teams. I graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2022 with a M.S. in Educational Studies. I am certified 1-6 in general education and I also hold a 1-8 Special Education License. Currently, I am working on an endorsement for 7-12 Social Studies in the state of Maryland.

I have worked with students of all ages and abilities in classes of +30 down to 1 on 1 instruction, and I use my experience as a classroom educator and an athlete to connect with students of all backgrounds and learning levels. My goal as a tutor is not just to support students in understanding new information and passing classes. As an educator I seek to foster a motivation and love for learning based on my student's goals in life that will inevitably shape them into becoming the best versions of themselves possible.

I have experience working with multiple curriculums in my time as a classroom educator but I am also comfortable working to design lessons based on the needs of students once I have established a connection with them.
