"I have been teaching and tutoring for several years. I've worked with kids ages K-9, tutoring reading and math. Since then I've taught and tutored preschool through fifth grade at a charter school called La Petite Academy, and taught English and Social Studies at Southport 6th Grade Academy in Indianapolis. I hold a bachelors degree in psychology from Lawrence University, and a teaching license. Previously I have worked in the building industry, coaching sports, and also teaching chess. I played baseball for my college team and received all-conference honors. I still play baseball. As an artist working independently I'm also capable to teach drawing and painting, if requested.

My work background has been in Marketing post college in 2009, as well as teaching. I enjoy working with students one on one, and admit that I learn a lot from the students. This is where my passion lies. It truly does brighten my life to be involved with a student's learning process, and seeing light bulbs go off.

I'm able and willing to work with students from preschool to ninth grade, and I have tutored ESL children who speak Spanish with the program Academic Coaching. I live in the Denver area, and am willing to travel to your location, or can host a session in my place if need be. There is some space, but I am happy to travel. I ask for cancellations a day in advance, but as soon as possible is understandable given certain situations. Looking forward to getting the ball rolling!
