"Hello! My name is Loraine, and I bring over 8 years of experience working with students ages 5 through 15 in both academic and creative subjects. I hold a degree in Business Administration, and I began my college career in Early Childhood Education, which gave me a strong foundation in teaching and child development. My tutoring journey started at the Boys and Girls Club, where I supported underprivileged children and children of immigrants, often using my Spanish to help bridge language gaps. I also have experience working with students who have ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences, and I adapt lessons by breaking concepts into smaller steps, using visuals, and creating routines that help students stay engaged and confident.

In addition to academics, I bring creative expertise to my tutoring. I am certified in Graphic Design through the New York Institute of Art and Design and teach Adobe programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom. I also have a strong background in music. I was first chair clarinet for five years and now teach beginner students, focusing on both music theory and the joy of playing. Currently, I tutor two families with six children total (ages 6, 8, and 12), blending academic support with creativity and encouragement.
