"I have a strong educational foundation in both the sciences and the humanities, which allows me to support students across a wide range of subjects. I hold a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology with a Certificate in Social Determinants of Health from Emory University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies from UC San Diego. This academic training not only sharpened my critical thinking and research skills, but also strengthened my ability to explain complex concepts in ways that are clear and approachable for learners at different levels.

While in both undergraduate and graduate school, I privately tutored high school students in a variety of subjects, ranging from English writing, Spanish, and algebra to social studies courses such as world history, U.S. history, and government. I also enjoy tutoring science subjects, particularly biology, where I help students connect abstract ideas to real-world examples. In addition to private tutoring, my experiences as a teaching assistant and research mentor taught me how to adapt to different learning styles and ensure that students feel supported, motivated, and encouraged to ask questions. Being fully bilingual in English and Spanish also allows me to make learning more accessible to students from diverse backgrounds and communicate effectively with families.
