"Hello! My name is Pammi and I am from Los Angeles, CA. I grew up in Pasadena and am currently attending the University of Southern California as a Human Biology major. I have a deep passion for teaching the biological sciences which spurred from my unique research background. After creating a one of a kind medical research and teaching center at my high school, La Salle College Preparatory CARLOW Center for Innovation, I continued to explore the sciences throughout my college career. I am a very well-rounded student that can be helpful in a wide variety of subjects from the sciences to math to the humanities. I love to play the violin and travel. Fun fact about me is that I have a map in my room where I pin every city and country I have been to! I have six years of teaching experience in the subjects of biology, chemistry, math, and spanish. In the CARLOW Center I assembled full lesson plans for Middle School students looking to explore human biology and physiology. In high school I was an active member in each of my school's honor societies where I would tutor underclassmen in the subjects aforementioned. Furthermore, in college I would host group tutoring sessions with my peers for my biology, chemistry, and physics classes where I would review lecture materials in an active recall format to best aide my students in preparation for exams. My favorite movie of all time is Ratatouille because of the quote “anyone can cook.” I truly believe in and live by this quote not just because of its encouraging nature, but because it reflects how learning really works. Everyone starts somewhere, and with the right guidance, patience, and support, anyone can build confidence and improve. My goal as a tutor is to create a comfortable, no judgment space where questions are welcomed and progress feels achievable. I focus on breaking concepts down in a way that makes sense to you, so learning feels less overwhelming and more rewarding. I’m excited to help you take that first step and see what you’re capable of." less...
