"I have always enjoyed teaching and molding young minds. I feel that science is one of the most diverse and vital subjects that young people need to know and understand. Science affects everyone in multiple different aspects of daily lives. I feel that most young people have no concept of the magnitude that science affects their daily lives.

I grew up in an agriculture based family in Southern Illinois. After several years of biological/agriculture based research and traveling, my family and I decided to come back to Illinois and put down roots. Shortly after moving back to Illinois, I had the opportunity to teach an Anatomy and Physiology course at Rend Lake College to mostly nursing students. I truly loved it. I am now in a situation where I own my own business and have a very flexible schedule during most of the year. I know that several of my strengths will be quite transferable to teaching your science students." less...
