Education and Qualifications

school: Florida State University

I have taught two semesters of the laboratory section of introductory cell & molecular biology and three semesters of introductory plant biology. I enjoy working with students and showing them the fascinating world of plants, biology and evolution. I tutored undergraduate students in biology when I was a senior undergraduate myself. I graduated with a B.S. in Evolutionary Biology in 2006, summa cum laude, and was also awarded Phi Beta Kappa. I worked on two research projects as an undergraduate, for which I received three research grants. During summer of 2011, I worked on a field botany project in Western Australia under the National Science Foundation East Asia & Pacific Summer Institute (EAPSI) fellowship.

Although my degree is in Biology and Botany, completion of my thesis required extensive research and reading of scientific articles, as well as a great deal of writing and computer work.
