"My name is Brandon Julien. Recently I graduated with a bachelors in business management. During my time as a student I met many academic challenges. For many adversity is a right of passage. One of the most important lessons I learned happened to be it’s not how you start but, how you finish that’s most significant. With a little bit of effort you can make the most notable changes to your academic career. Most important during my time as a college student happened to be my institution's recognition. The college, aware of my accolades, rewarded me with several appearances on the school's deans list. This is the culmination of effort post academic challenges. My approach to tutoring is not to cram as much as possible but, it's to help students understand the concepts. To motivate people to self improve is my purpose as a tutor. This is the most important lesson I’ve learned. That once you start putting effort towards something that makes all the difference.
Currently I specialize in both mathematics and the english language arts. In terms of math I'm experienced in pre and elementary algebra. Like solving equations and writing formulas. In regards to English I’d say writing, such as grammar and proofreading. My approach to the format of tutoring is self improvement. While many may focus on career expertise my goal is to help you understand the key necessities for a proper foundational knowledge. Sometimes all we need is a difference of perspective and approach to a problem.
My main goal is for students to feel more comfortable with the material they’re being given. I also welcome any additional resources that parents or students may wish to provide me with. This is so that I can get a better grasp of the situation, and ascertain whether I may be the right fit in terms of assistance. Lastly I wanted to conclude that as a tutor my job is only to aid and be a stepping stone to help you get closer to your goals." less...
