"I'm Will! I am a Brown University graduate, with a B.A. in Public Health. I also have a Master of Public Health Degree from Brown, and I will be attending NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine next year in pursuit of an MD degree. I have 7 years of experience tutoring high school Math, Chemistry, and Physics, and have been told that I can make very complicated concepts much easier to understand through applied examples. I also have TA'd college Physics, epidemiology, and Biostatistics for 4 years.

I scored 99th percentile on the ACT and 95th percentile on the MCAT and have tutored students in preparation for both exams. I have mostly taught and tutored high school students, but I also have extensive experience teaching Physics to Brown undergraduates and Biostatistics to Brown graduate students. I consistently received very high student feedback marks as a TA (~4.8/5 stars) and as a tutor.

Regarding high school mathematics, I tutor CP and Honors Algebra 1 all the way to AP Calculus. I also am very comfortable tutoring CP and Honors Chemistry, CP and Honors Physics, as well as ACT and MCAT preparation. I find that in the classes I tutor and TA, many course topics are very difficult to grasp without a strong foundation in the subject. I find that these concepts are best taught by approaching the subject from where the student hits a mental roadblock, resolving that specific issue with course content, and then utilizing the student's newfound understanding of the material to apply it to other related concepts." less...
