"Hi! My name is Izzy, and I am a native New Yorker with over four years of tutoring experience in writing and college essay preparation. A recent graduate of Brown University and finance professional based on the Upper East Side, I started informally tutoring in high school–proofreading and editing my friends' English, History, and college application essays. In college, I began taking on a small number of clients and younger family members and found a real passion for tutoring. Whether helping with a personal essay, research paper, or college supplement, I truly enjoy helping students find their authentic voice and meaningfully putting it to paper.

At Brown, I studied International and Public Affairs (IAPA) and entrepreneurship. I received a 4.0 GPA and completed my 25-page senior capstone paper on child protection in Colombia. As a student, I worked as a research associate and contributed to a 50-page report that was published and read at the UN Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships week in Spring 2025. I also served as Director of Education for a business/consulting club, helping students prepare cover letters and pitch materials in addition to developing educational programming around the club's focus areas. During my time as a student, I took a variety of classes in the humanities, honing my analytic and writing skills, but also enjoyed taking advantage of Brown's open curriculum and exposing myself to a variety of subjects. While I specialize in creative and narrative writing, I am comfortable with most subjects and am confident with specialized reports and long-form essays.
