"I love learning and sharing that love of learning with others. Math and programming have shaped how I see the world and I can't wait to help you on your journey. I recently graduated at Brown University with a double-major in Computer Science and Math. I have taken CS classes ranging from low-level computer systems to computer vision; and math classes ranging from multivariable calculus and proof-based linear algebra to complex analysis. I've been a teaching assisant/grader for multiple classes and worked with students in office hours, as well as in developing course content and grading. In high school, I received 5s on 10 AP tests. I hope to make math and programming approachable and explain the real-world uses of the concepts. I've used math and programming in my daily life, finding problems and puzzles that get me excited to learn. Hopefully I'll be able to to the same with you!
I and enjoy learning and teaching as much as I can about math. The best way I've learned is by reframing the problems in a way that I can visually see what is going on. Making interactive Desmos graphs and visualizations in Python have been an excellent tool for understanding that I hope to take advantage of in my tutoring.
I've been a self-taught programmer since before high school and have loved exploring and researching concepts. I've received a 5 on the AP Computer Science exam, taken high-level CS courses at Brown University and currently conduct research at Brown's Visual Computing lab. Programming can seem confusing at first but once you get the hang of it there are so many ways to apply the problem-solving skills you develop to everyday life.
I'm looking forward to working with you. Feel free to shoot me a message anytime! Good luck with all your academic endeavors." less...
