I graduated from Caltech with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and spent over four years at Google working as a Software Engineer. While I thoroughly enjoyed my time in tech, my passion for teaching led me to transition away from my job at Google to focus on tutoring.

In my teaching approach, I prioritize building a deep understanding of core concepts, rather than just preparing for the next test or assignment. I believe that true learning comes from comprehending why things work the way they do, not just memorizing formulas or procedures. This is particularly important in subjects like math and physics, where many traditional teaching methods focus on “plug-and-play” solutions for problems, often neglecting the underlying principles. I make it a point to break down the "why" behind concepts, ensuring students grasp the material in a meaningful way.

With over 10 years of tutoring experience, I’ve worked with students at a variety of levels, primarily focusing on high school and undergraduate learners, though I’m also happy to work with middle school students.
