"I'm a recent graduate from the California Institute of Technology with a major in electrical engineering and a concentration in medical engineering. I have an extensive background in mathematics, ranging from high school subjects like algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus to college-level material like linear algebra and differential equations. I also have tutored and studied coursework in physics, including electricity and magnetism, Newtonian mechanics, and special relativity. I have significant undergraduate-level training in biology, with experience studying genetics, cell biology, and evolutionary biology.
I have conducted two graduate-level research projects at Caltech in biology and genetic engineering, and recently spent a year working with a prominent electrical engineering laboratory to construct and test a wearable stress monitoring device. I have designed and built numerous electronic devices, both for personal and academic purposes, ranging from a PCB memory game to a portable pulse oximeter.
I have experience tutoring at the undergraduate level as part of the Deans' Tutors program at Caltech, where I helped with physics coursework in the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 school years. I've had additional experience teaching mathematics at the high school level; I was the coach of Trinity Classical School's MathCounts team in the 2020/2021 season. Through these experiences I've grown adept at explaining concepts and working through difficult problems both in one on one settings and in a classroom environment. I look forward to using my skills to help nurture others' interest in STEM!" less...
