"I’m a career professional and MBA graduate from the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business who loves helping students reach their academic goals. Although I work full-time as a software implementation consultant, I’ve always been passionate about learning. Growing up, I participated in Massachusetts’ Gifted & Talented program, earned perfect MCAS scores, and received eight AP exam scores of 5.
My academic background led naturally to tutoring. In high school, I supported students with learning disabilities in reading and basic math, and I also ran a small tutoring service focused on AP test prep, essay support, and reading comprehension. In college, I worked in the writing center, helping students strengthen their academic writing across a range of subjects. While I don’t hold formal teaching credentials, I bring a strong combination of proven academic success, tutoring experience, and analytical skill.
My Approach:
As a consultant by trade, I use a highly personalized, goal-oriented tutoring method.
• Evaluation: We start by identifying your goals—higher test scores, stronger writing, improved class performance—and assessing your current level.
• Planning: Together, we create a realistic study plan that works with your schedule and targets the areas that matter most.
• Instruction & Feedback: Sessions focus on reviewing material, walking through problem-solving strategies, analyzing practice tests, and building confidence through clear, constructive feedback.
• Progress Reviews: I track improvement over time so students can see measurable results. At the end of our work together, I provide a brief summary to support continued progress.
Whether you’re preparing for the SAT/ACT, AP exams, or need support with writing or coursework, I would love to help. Feel free to reach out—I’m happy to discuss goals, share references, and outline a customized plan for success." less...
