"I have spent the last ten years teaching English and composition courses at the university level but worked as a private tutor for fifteen years before that. I specialize in reading comprehension and analysis, writing/composition, and grammar. I have also helped significantly raise scores in the ACT English section for many students.

English can be a daunting subject for many, but my job is to help students understand and thus master comprehension and composition. I help students find gaps in education or skills and patiently provide the tools needed to overcome those gaps or simply improve existing skills. Additionally, I have spent well over a decade instructing individuals from all educational backgrounds, and having taught at one of the most culturally diverse universities in the country, I have extensive experience working with those who do not speak English as a native tongue or are unfamiliar with US standards for composition. I can help students face any educational hurdles and become strong writers for any literature or writing course.

I am a patient, dedicated instructor who knows how to work with students who need help with the basics or students who need more advanced instruction. I have several decade’s worth of experience mentoring and instructing students of all ages, though especially those at the high school or college levels, and I’m extremely confident in my ability to provide solid instruction for any level of reading, writing, or ACT English prep.
