I recently passed the CBEST (California Basic Educational Skills Test) on June 11, 2025, with a total score of 181 (Reading: 62, Mathematics: 72, Writing: 47). For context, the passing requirement is a total score of 123 or a minimum of 41 in each section.

With over 31 years of tutoring experience—on and off since college—I specialize in building strong foundations, breaking down complex concepts, and meeting students at their level of understanding. Whether working with a high-achiever pushing for excellence or a student who needs help getting back on track, I adapt my approach to fit their needs and goals.

Subjects I Tutor:

Math: Pre-Algebra through Pre-Calculus, with a strong emphasis on Geometry

English: Writing, grammar, and reading comprehension

Science: Biology, Physical Science, Chemistry

Test Prep: SAT, ASVAB (math focus), CLEP
