"I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Master’s degree in Gender and Development, which provide me with a strong foundation in human behavior, social systems, equity, and critical thinking. I later earned my Career and Technical Education (CTE) Business Teacher license and currently work as a high school business educator. My academic background, combined with professional certifications, allows me to effectively tutor subjects such as business, economics, entrepreneurship, and AP Psychology, with an emphasis on real-world application and student understanding.

Before transitioning into education, I spent over 10 years working in corporate fundraising, where I developed expertise in business strategy, marketing, financial planning, data analysis, communication, and organizational management. This professional experience strongly informs my teaching and tutoring, as I help students connect theoretical concepts to practical, real-life examples. In the classroom, I use student-centered and inquiry-based approaches, breaking down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps while encouraging critical thinking and confidence. I emphasize structure, modeling, guided practice, and feedback, which are especially effective for students preparing for exams or struggling with organization and extended responses.

I have been teaching high school students for several years in a classroom setting, working with diverse learners across grades 9–12, including students enrolled in AP courses and career-focused programs.
