"Education Background:

I’ve got a bachelor’s in exercise science, a master’s in athletic training, and a minor in psychology. I’m a certified athletic trainer and licensed to practice in Virginia. Most of my background is rooted in health, movement, and human performance, but I’ve always found myself drawn to helping others understand the “why” behind what they’re learning—not just memorizing facts.

Experience:

A lot of my teaching has happened outside of a traditional classroom. I work closely with middle and high school athletes, explaining things like how injuries happen, how the body works, and how to recover the right way. It’s a hands-on kind of teaching, but it translates well when you need to make complex topics easier to grasp. During graduate school, I also helped classmates and undergrads with studying, writing papers, or just walking through tough material—especially when it came to anatomy, physiology, or anything psych-related.

Teaching/ Tutoring Style:

I’d say my tutoring style is pretty laid-back. I don’t like to overcomplicate things; we take it one step at a time, and if something doesn’t click right away, we just try a different angle.
