"For almost twenty years, I have taught math & science in a classroom setting as well as in one-to-one settings to students from New York City’s diverse schools, including prep & private schools, magnet & specialized schools, & public schools, with ages ranging from 6th to 12th grades.

As a licensed math & science teacher, I decided to go back to school to receive my certification in Special Education to better cater to the unique needs of students who are school avoidant, on the Autistic Spectrum, have ADHD, Executive Function Disorder, and/or Memory/Processing Disorder. This has helped me to better teach my targeted subjects with patience and compassion & to make the learning experiences as fun and stress-free as possible.

I am always looking for approaches that will improve the outcomes of my students. I am a member of several teaching organizations, including Math for America, New York Science Teachers Association, and the National Association of Special Education Teachers. I have presented at workshops sponsored by some of these organizations. I enjoy learning from both my colleagues and my students.
