My name is Carmen Edwards, and I’ve been passionate about helping students learn and grow for over 10 years. My journey as an educator began early—when I was just a 6th grader tutoring younger students in my local church. Since then, I’ve continued to build my calling as a mentor and teacher, serving as a high school mentor for first-generation college students, a 4th grade teacher leading classes of 25 students, and now as an Academic and Career Coach in Higher Education. Across every stage of my career, one thing has remained constant: my commitment to helping students gain confidence, develop strong learning habits, and achieve their goals.

I specialize in reading, writing, and math, focusing on building strong foundational skills and lifelong learning habits. My teaching style is personalized, patient, and interactive—I meet each student where they are, celebrate progress along the way, and make sure every session feels supportive and productive. Whether your child is working to boost grades, strengthen study skills, or gain confidence in challenging subjects, I’m here to help make learning a positive and empowering experience.
