"My name is Liz and I have worked in Baltimore City Public Schools for over 13 years. I have a wide variety of teaching experience and have taught 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grade. I am a certified Reading Specialist in grades 1 through 12, as well as certified to teach English in grades 1 through 12. My certification is also Elementary Education grades 1-6 all subjects.

I received my Master's Degree in Reading Education from Loyola University in 2019 and am currently in a principal cohort at Towson University working on my Administrative Certification (for Assistant Principal/Principal Certification).

Outside of teaching, I have worked as a tutor specifically in the areas of reading for children in both elementary, middle, and high school. Most of the children I have worked with also have had diagnosed ADHD or some specific learning disability such as dyslexia. My education and training has allowed me to utilize strategies that have helped my students overcome difficulties and find success in one on one instruction.
