"I am a graduate of Florida State University and I have a Master's degree in Elementary Education. I am certified in the state of Florida to teach grades K-6. I am also endorsed in Reading and ESOL. I have 25 years' experience in the classroom teaching grades K-3.

I have tutored my own students after school and on Saturdays for years! I recently started tutoring one-on-one in student's homes and I love it! I love planning learning for students individually and watching them make progress at a rapid pace! I also love building relationships with them!

I am currently participating in a math research study with Florida State University. I am also in year two of a project on Cognitively Guided Instruction that has changed my approach to teaching math. I currently teach Eureka! math in my own classroom.

First and foremost, I have loved reading my entire life! I try to pass this love onto students by providing strong foundational skills so that they can uncover the magic of reading! I have many techniques I use when working with struggling readers. I fine tune what they need until I find the right strategy.
