"I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Maine in Orono, where I majored in Child Development and Family Studies with a dual minor in Education and English. During my time there, I developed a strong foundation in early childhood learning and literacy development—and a lifelong love of teaching. Fun fact: my favorite college class was Shakespeare 101—something about the language, rhythm, and character complexity just stuck with me!

Currently, I teach 4th grade in the Philadelphia area, but my experience spans a broad age range—from preschool through 5th grade. Over the years, I’ve taught in both general education and inclusive classroom settings, and have worked closely with students who have IEPs and varied learning needs. I prioritize creating a supportive, engaging, and individualized environment where every student feels empowered to grow.
