"Hey there! I’m Laura and I graduated from BYU with a degree in International Studies. But I started in chemical engineering and kept drifting back to math. Eventually, I went back to get my teaching license in secondary math. That means I can teach middle school/junior high and high school. For the last 15 years, I specialized in Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. I taught mainstream students, struggling students, and honors students. I taught Common Core Integrated Math 1, 2, and 3 as well.

My advantage lies in the fact that my degree is mathematical. It came from a number of different disciplines, which means I come at math from a number of different approaches. There is no single way to understand a problem, and my unique experience helps me see different ways to help someone understand how math works.
