"I am a certified Florida teacher in social studies for grades 6-12, with a passion for helping students develop a global perspective, strong critical thinking skills, and a deeper understanding of the past. For the past three years, I have taught 8th Grade U.S. History and Career Planning. During my student teaching internship, I also gained valuable experience teaching 11th grade U.S. History.

I hold a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Florida State University, where I also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science Education with a minor in Art History. As a former AP Scholar with Distinction, I also bring firsthand insight and a deep understanding of the rigor of Advanced Placement assessments.

I love to make history come alive through simulations, document analysis, educational games, music and project-based learning. I am patient with students and have worked with English Language Learners, gifted students and students with learning disabilities.
