"I am a 20 + year veteran educator. I have worked in K -12 schools as a classroom teacher (K,2,3 and 5) and as a substitute teacher in Eugene, OR and Dixon, CA. I spent 5 years as Title 1 coordinator (RTI) and Data coordinator in Eugene, OR. I taught English (ESOL) to adults working for Downtown Languages in OR. ELA and English as second language are my areas of expertise, however, I am able to tutor in other content areas as well. I am happy to tutor all ages of students. I have a Masters in education and current teaching licenses in Oregon and California. I also have ESOL and Reading endorsements/special licenses.

I currently work as a substitute teacher in my neighborhood school district. I am a vendor for Visions in Education, providing teaching/tutoring services for families who are homeschooling. In addition, I just started my own teaching consultant business: Creative Solutions Education.

I have years of experience with a variety of different curriculums. I am very familiar with CCSS and I teach expertly to the standards. I am AVID trained as well.

My teaching philosophy is student centered with an emphasis on project based learning. At the same time, I am adaptable and able to meet a variety of different learning styles.
