"Hi, I am a certified math teacher for grades 7-12 in Texas, and I have taught math in public schools for six years. I also have two years of online math tutoring experience on other platforms, totaling around 360 hours. I am familiar with the math curriculum for middle school and high school. The subjects I've taught include Algebra 1, pre-algebra, 6th and 7th-grade math, geometry, Algebra 2, and GRE math. My students are usually between 12 and 16 years old.

I have an approachable, patient, and encouraging personality. I help my students gain confidence in math by breaking down tough concepts into easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions. This approach allows me to build a good rapport with students who feel anxious about math, as well as those who are too shy or afraid to ask questions. I also like to use highlighters, memory techniques, testing strategies, and online math games to make learning more engaging and effective.

Throughout each lesson, I ask many questions to encourage my students to engage and check their understanding. My goal is to help students gain confidence and become independent problem solvers through my step-by-step instruction.

I have experience working with homeschooled students and helping them develop study plans to ensure they close any gaps and are prepared for the next grade level. I am familiar with the math curriculum and know the areas in which they need a solid foundation to succeed.

As a tutor, I have seen all my students make great strides in their test scores and gain confidence in math. Many of their grades in class have improved to A's after my help. Some parents have informed me that their kids are now among the top students in their math classes following my instruction.
