"Hi! I'm Rogers. I graduated from Mississippi Valley State University with a bachelor's degree in Math Education. I am in my fifth year of teaching Middle School Math. I come from a long line of teachers and educators, so I have always wanted to be a teacher. Math was always my favorite subject, so it was no surprise to my family that I became a math teacher. Along with my teaching experience, I have developed a love of working with students to help better themselves in the field of math. I understand many students struggle in math and they need patient tutors to work through their assignments. I like to give mini lessons for student who are struggling with a problem or a concept. In many instances, student confusions stem from prerequisite concepts that were not mastered and need to be revisited.

I have a year of experience tutoring various subjects and test prep such as: 5th-8th grade Math, High School and College Algebra, Praxis core, and Praxis Elementary Education. Most of my experience come from tutoring online, though I do have some in-person tutoring experience. I also hold tutoring sessions for my students during study hall or during allowed gym time. I tutor almost everyday so this is a way of life for me.
