"¡Hola! My name is Marta. I am a Certified Native Spanish Teacher from Colombia. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education Science, Majoring Modern Languages: English and Spanish Teaching. I also have two semesters of a Master's Degree in Edumatics, (Technology to improve the Teaching-Learning Process). I am also Certified in Spanish P-12 by Georgia Professional Standards Commission and I obtained a TESOL (Teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages) Certificate, issued by the College of Continuing and Professional Education at Kennesaw State University in Georgia. I have been teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) for more than 22 years and Spanish as a Second Language (SFL) in all levels, specially for college students.

As a teacher, I have three important priorities: 1) to help you improve your Spanish communication and comprehension skills, 2) to build your self-confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, and 3) to make you enjoy the Spanish LearningProcess. I would like you to enjoy learning as much as I enjoy teaching! I care deeply about my students' interests, goals, and needs and that guide what and how I will teach. Don't worry if you have little or no knowledge of Spanish, we will be starting from the basics to employing expressions used in everyday life, especially in oral communication. In my classes we will practice basic conversation and fundamental grammar, while working with sentence structures and verb tenses.
