"What differentiates me is my combination of varied real-world project management experience, professional certification, education, coaching experience, and desire to give back to the younger generation.

I’m currently employed by a Big 4 Accounting firm as a consultant in our Deals practice with a focus on project management advisory. This means I work primarily with Fortune 500 clients to help them navigate dynamic, fast-paced, and complex transactions such as mergers & acquisitions. I also have significant project management experience in the technology sector working at Microsoft on large international and digital transformation projects. Finally, I spent the earlier part of my career in accounting, finance, and product management, and consequently have significant domain expertise in these areas as well.

I have been a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2015 and am a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). I also have two master’s degrees from Seattle University, including an MBA and Master of Science in Finance, along with a BA in Psychology from the University of Washington.

While I don’t have specific tutoring or teaching experience, I do have relevant experience. I do a lot of coaching to less senior staff on consulting engagements, and sometimes with clients, through my current employment. Also, when I was more actively participating in martial arts training several years ago, I instructed students at the Chinese Kenpo Karate school, both individually and in group classes.

Finally, I gain a lot of satisfaction from helping people and I believe leveraging my experience and education through tutoring is good way for me to do that. My girlfriend has tutored Spanish for many years, and I can see first-hand how rewarding it is for her to do that and help her students improve their grades.
