"I am passionate about helping children and adults learn to read. I have over 10 years of experience as a reading tutor. I am certified as an IDOE Reading Specialist, Structured Literacy Classroom Teacher, and Reading Interventionist.

I work extensively with students identified as "at risk" for reading failure or identified with a specific learning disability, such as dyslexia. I use a systematic and explicit approach when teaching the major components of reading:
