"¡Hola! My name is Caitlin. I am a certified teacher in Wisconsin and have taught Spanish to students in grades K-12. I have over 12 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I have also worked in the translation industry as an interpreter, a translator and a project manager.

I have two degrees. My undergraduate degree from UW-Madison is in Spanish education grades K-12. During my undergraduate studies I studied abroad twice: once in Mexico and once in Argentina. I also have a Master's degree from UW-Milwaukee in translation and interpreting (Spanish to English).

I am currently employed as a Spanish educator for students in grades K-4. I have many years of experience teaching at the high school level and tutoring adults. I have tutored adults for travel purposes (general conversation) and for professional purposes (legal terminology for a group of lawyers). I work to cater the language I tutor to my client's specific needs. I aim to mimic an immersion experience as much as possible when I am with my clients/students so that they are listening to and speaking Spanish as much as possible when they are with me. I employ many language learning strategies to make language learning attainable and realistic for my students. This includes heavy use of visuals, memory retention techniques, use of cognates and actions.
