"Hi! I’m so happy to be considered to be your child’s tutor. I am an experienced special education teacher and administrator with over 10 years of experience supporting students from early childhood through high school in both classroom and one-on-one settings. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, along with state certifications in Special Education (PK–12) and General Education (K–6).
Throughout my career, I’ve supported students with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and a wide range of learning differences. I am trained in structured literacy and grounded in the Science of Reading. I use evidence-based programs including Orton-Gillingham, the Wilson Reading System, Fundations, and multisensory phonics approaches to build decoding, fluency, spelling, and comprehension skills in a systematic and engaging way.
In addition to academic support, I specialize in executive functioning coaching. I help students strengthen organization, time management, task initiation, planning, and study routines. My approach combines explicit strategy instruction with practical tools to help students develop independence across all subject areas.
I have served as a classroom teacher, case manager, instructional coach, and administrator, giving me a deep understanding of how to individualize instruction and interpret assessment data. My work has been recognized through instructional leadership awards and strong student growth outcomes. Whether a student needs foundational skill development or support with advanced coursework, I tailor each session to their learning profile, developmental needs, and personal goals.
I collaborate closely with families and educators to create learning plans that evolve as students grow. My goal is to help every learner build confidence, make measurable progress, and develop the strategies they need to thrive long term. I look forward to working with your child!" less...
